Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Uuumi ("we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Uuumi is a screen time management app featuring a virtual pet that reacts to your device usage habits. The App is operated by Jan Podmolík.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Uuumi. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We reserve the right to terminate accounts if we learn a user does not meet these requirements.

3. User accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account using Sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms.

4. App services

Uuumi provides the following features:

• Screen time monitoring via Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls APIs
• App and category blocking based on your configured limits
• A virtual pet whose mood and evolution respond to your usage
• Usage statistics and daily summaries
• Break sessions to encourage time away from your device

We strive to keep the App running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Screen time monitoring relies on Apple's APIs and device permissions — accuracy may vary.

5. Subscriptions and purchases

5.1 Premium subscription

Uuumi offers a premium subscription with additional features, available as:

• Monthly — billed every month
• Yearly — billed annually

Pricing is displayed in your local currency in the App before you confirm a purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price you originally paid, unless the price has changed and you have been notified. You can manage or cancel your subscription, or turn off auto-renewal, by going to your Apple ID account settings on your device after purchase.

5.2 Coin packs

Uuumi offers in-app coin packs as one-time purchases. Coins are used to unlock content within the App. Coins are non-transferable and have no real-world monetary value.

5.3 Payments and refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle payment information directly. For refunds, please contact Apple Support as refund policies are governed by Apple's terms.

5.4 Restoring purchases

If you reinstall the App or use it on another device signed in with the same Apple ID, you can restore previously purchased subscriptions and coin packs via the Restore Purchases option inside the App.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent the App's blocking or monitoring mechanisms
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
• Share your account with others or create multiple accounts

7. Intellectual property

All content in the App — including but not limited to graphics, animations, text, pet designs, UI elements, and code — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

8. Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas through the App or by contacting us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and incorporate that feedback into our products without any obligation to you.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be available at all times or free from errors
• Screen time data will be perfectly accurate
• App blocking will be effective in all circumstances
• The App will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uuumi and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

11. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your account record and all linked personal data are permanently removed from our servers; previously submitted feedback is retained in anonymized form. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.

14. Apple's role

You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent these Terms include any terms applicable to your use of the App that differ from Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, those terms apply, but in case of conflict Apple's standard EULA prevails for App Store distribution.

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App. Any product warranty claims, product liability claims, intellectual-property infringement claims, or compliance complaints are our responsibility, not Apple's.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
